In the case of scary movies, this meant exaggerated facial expressions, overly animated movements and of course, extra creepy make-up and special effects. Of course, there was no green screens back in the day to help augment an actors face so it was up to the talented makeup artists to turn the actors from loveable and recognizeable stars into super creepy monsters!
